I am no politics junkie...

PhotobucketI thought coming here in United States frees me from any political dilemma in the Philippines. I was wrong. Being a Filipino, I guess, it will always be inside me to feel concern to the events in the life of my fellow countrymen.

I am nothing special. I have no political blood. My parents are just as normal as everybody else. Having only my mom as a parent, I have come to understand the hardships of living a life with limited resources. I have learned, at such a young age that life is journey we must travel with a deep understanding to its constant twists and turns. I knew that life is like a wheel, sometimes you find yourself above of everything and in a split second you're on your way down, below the line where everybody won't see you. It is a lowly place where everybody won't care even if they hurt you.

I don't want to this to sound personal, because it's not. I simply want to share the unexplainable pain whenever I see people going through destitutions while others enjoy explicit wealth. Good education should be made available to everyone. Kids have the right for proper learning and guidance. People of old age, who have given their strength, should be resting or enjoying the remaining days of their lives. Their youth have passed them by. It is just right that we give the care they well deserve.

Filipinos have the right to live a life with less difficulty if not free from it. We have fought for our freedom many times. We have freed ourselves from oppressions. We have gone through and above of it all. Why can't we do the same now? Are we out of good people to lead us to our forefather's dreams? Has greed taken over our hearts and minds that we have given up on morality and good ethics ? It's time to stop thinking about personal gains rather start a liberation of honest and trustworthy individuals.

I may only be one voice that in is unheard but if we do it together we will make a great roar and let everybody know of our demands for change. Hope has not deserted us, it's just waiting to be lighted up in our hearts to give enough beam and encourage the rest of us to do the same.
